The Kenyan AA | AB green beans coffee is sourced directly from our farm in Solai, Nakuru, which sits on the escarpments of the Rift Valley. The Rift Valley region is known for its rich volcanic and very fertile soil. Coffee flourishes in this region because of the rich nutrients of the young soil, which makes it unnecessary to use fertilizers and pesticides to increase yield. It is said that you can almost grow coffee naturally in this region. The farm has an elevation of Elevation: 1951 M (6404ft), which makes it ideal for Arabica coffee farming.
Major farm activities around the farm involve pruning, cultivation/weeding, spraying, feeding, and harvesting. The coffee handling process is standard among farmers. Each process is executed with extreme care and with the consumer in mind.
Kenya Specialty coffee processing involves post-harvest handling. This includes; pulping of selectively picked ripe cherries, fermentation, wet-washing, and controlled natural moisture drying raised bed and later milling, grading green beans coffee, roasting, and packaging.
